To systematically review and meta-analyse breast cancer in geriatric patients (aged ≥65 years) — staging, molecular subtypes, treatment, and outcomes. The focus was on how tumour biology and treatment differ from younger cohorts.
Methodology
Comprehensive review and meta-analysis of observational studies and RCTs involving geriatric breast cancer patients. Meta-analytic pooling of staging distribution, receptor positivity rates, and treatment response outcomes. Subgroup analyses by molecular subtype and age group.
Key Outcome
Demonstrated that geriatric breast cancer disproportionately presents with luminal A subtype but is significantly undertreated relative to younger patients. GRADE certainty: Moderate for treatment outcomes. Published in Aging and Disease (IF 6.9).

To provide a 15-year analysis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Kuwait using the One Health approach. This meant integrating human clinical, agricultural, and environmental AMR data to assess the full resistance burden.
Methodology
PRISMA 2020-compliant systematic review. Comprehensive search across PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, and grey literature covering 2009–2024. Dual-independent screening and data extraction. Thematic synthesis across three One Health domains: human, agricultural, and environmental.
Key Outcome
First systematic review to comprehensively map AMR in Kuwait across all One Health domains. Identified critical gaps in environmental AMR surveillance and provided evidence-based recommendations for a national AMR action plan.
